2021 assessment notice

Today we are mailing to all Northview residents the 2021 assessment notice and 2021 budget. You may download those documents here.

This year we implemented an online payment option, which you will find at https://salinenorthview.org/paydues. Note that an additional ~$8 processing fee will apply; that fee goes to PayPal, not SNCA. If you prefer to avoid that fee, please complete the info sheet you will receive in the mail and send it back to us with your check or money order. Thank you!

Snow Event Nov 30 – Dec 1

We are monitoring snow amounts for this storm and our snow contractor Boswell Lawn Service is ready to plow if needed. It’s unclear at this point how much will stick due to ground temps.

As a reminder, we will clear snow when there is 1 inch or more on the sidewalks and 2 inches or more on driveways.

Update: Dec 1st – I appears that most of the snow melted and we are left with only a thin coating on sidewalks and driveways. Be safe. Temps in the 40’s the next few days

Mailbox clusters replacement

On Thursday, October 22 we are going to replace the four mailbox clusters closest to the following addresses: 1152 Colony; 716 Foxboro Ct; 947 Wiltshire; and 1061 Heritage. (We have contracted with Pop-A-Lock, who is scheduled to meet with a Post Office rep that day to install the new clusters and get them labeled.) We are replacing the clusters as needed, and are spreading them out over the years to spread out the associated costs.

Board member Sarah Brooks, who has been working hard to make all of this happen, is going to deliver new mailbox keys to those affected homeowners on Wednesday after 7:00 pm. If you are not going to be home then, or would like to make alternate arrangements to get your keys, please either call Sarah directly at (734) 905-9291 or you can email us at bod@salinenorthview.org.

2020 annual meeting update

At our August 25, 2020 Board meeting we spent a lot of time discussing the possibility of holding the October 13th annual meeting as a combination of both in-person and virtual (Zoom), but the logistical challenges are significant enough that we decided to hold the meeting by Zoom, only. We are going to do everything we can to be as efficient with our time together as we would if we were meeting in person, so between now and then we will be working on how to accomplish that goal. We will mail a letter to all homeowners in the next few weeks with the Zoom details; if you do not receive the letter, please let us know and we will mail you another copy or email it to you. If you lose the letter and need us to send you the Zoom sign-in details (which we are not going to post publicly, for security reasons), please email us at bod@salinenorthview.org.We plan to begin check-in at 6:30 pm and then begin the meeting as close to 7:00 pm as possible. It will greatly help if everyone would check in early; if we get a rush of people right at 7:00 pm, that will prevent us from being able to start on time.

We encourage everyone in the neighborhood to attend and participate in the meeting, so you can know more about what we are doing, what we are spending your money on, and so you can ask whatever questions or raise any concerns or complaints you might have. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on the Board (two-year terms), we would especially like you to participate in the meeting, because we will be holding elections for three open Board positions.

Our next Board meeting: Tuesday, August 25, 2020

Our next Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 pm, via Zoom. All homeowners are welcome to attend, but for security reasons we do not want to publicly post the Zoom sign-in details. If you’d like to attend the meeting, please send an email to bod@salinenorthview.org and we will reply with that sign-in information.

As a reminder, the annual meeting is still scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 pm. One of the things we are going to talk about at the August 25th meeting is how to allow people to attend that meeting either in-person or remotely (via Zoom), while still being able to get through the agenda efficiently and giving people the opportunity to say what they want to say. Stay tuned.

Northview Board Meeting Tuesday May 26th

We will be having our next Board meeting on Tuesday May 26th at 6pm via Zoom. All homeowners are welcome to attend, but for security reasons we do not want to publicly post the Zoom sign-in details. If you’d like to attend the meeting, please send an email to bod@salinenorthview.org and we will reply with that sign-in information. Stay Safe!
