Snow Report Jan. 6

As of 6:00pm, 4 trucks are now in the neighborhood to do driveways.

Our contractor has missed the start time of 2:30pm, which they gave us. As of 4pm, we still have no snow removal service. We have been contacting other contractors throughout the day – no one is available to complete the work today. Will post again when I know more. Call Julie Shook if you want to talk to me, 231-343-7744.

Driveway snow removal has not begun in our neighborhood. At this time, I do not know when they will get to us. Will keep you posted.

As of 11:00am we still do not have an estimated start time for driveway snow removal. Some sidewalk removal has taken place, but the work is not finished.

Have just been informed that driveway snow removal will begin around 2:30pm.

Snow Report Jan 4

Update: Sidewalk snow removal has begun tonight.

We still have not been able to get the sidewalks cleared, as of this afternoon. As a consequence, we are arranging for a new contractor to clear the sidewalks – hopefully tomorrow, and also after the Sunday storm. Call Julie Shook, 231-343-7744, if you have questions or issues.

Snow Report Jan 3

Many of the sidewalks in the neighborhood have not been cleared as of this morning. The contractor has been notified again. We are also working on alternatives to this unacceptable situation, to remedy it as soon as possible.

We have contacted the city of Saline about the problem with our sidewalks. They were happy we notified them and they are not going to ticket residents.

Snow Report – Wed, Jan 01/Thurs, Jan 02

Jan. 01 10:28am – The forecast is for snow to continue throughout the day and into the night. Removal will begin when snow fall is winding down. Contact Julie Shook, 231-343-7744, about snow issues.

Update Jan. 2. Snow removal began at 6am this morning. The forecast is for less than one more inch to fall today.

Update Jan. 2 – 4:22pm. Work is still being done on sidewalks and I have called for additional cleanup of Berkshire where snow was left in the road.

Assessment payments due January 31

Northview’s annual assessment mailing was sent a week ago, and by now all unit owners should have received it. In fact, we have already gotten payments from 22 of our 252 units. Thanks to you prompt responders!

The board is glad to announce a $25 reduction in this year’s annual assessment. Each unit is responsible for contributing $145 toward the administration of the association. The mailing included our 2013 financial statement and 2014 budget, as well as an informational letter from the board.

Payments are due by January 31, 2014, after which late fees and additional enforcement actions may apply. The assessment notice includes questions about the unit’s designated owners, occupancy, and mortgagee, if any. This information is sought pursuant to the by-laws, so please keep the administrative burdens and expenses of your association low by filling out the form completely and accurately.

Feel free to contact the treasurer or another board member with any questions or concerns about the assessment and mailing.
