6-10 inches of fluffy snow is expected tonight. Due to this, Dan Boswell, our snow contractor is expecting to clear the neighborhood twice, the first time when there is 5-6 inches on the ground, then again at the completion of the event after the city has cleared snow. This will be sometime later Tuesday morning. If you have questions or issues feel free to send us an email at [email protected]
Update: The snow contractor went through the neighborhood last night around midnight. They will go through again later today when the snow stops and the city has completed their clearing.
Sidewalks will be cleared today
We are expecting 3 inches of snow this evening that will be ending around midnight. Dan Boswell and crew will be out through the overnight hours tonight working on clearing snow from driveways and sidewalks.
As we are currently right around the 2 inch amount, our snow contractor will be clearing driveways and sidewalks today. They will be starting sometime close to noon and will be working throughout this afternoon. It looks like we might get a bit more before tomorrow night and/or there may be some drifting, so there’s a chance the sidewalks will need to be cleared once more tomorrow night.
We’re getting close to the 2 inch threshold with a couple more hours of light snow to go. So we’ve decided to plow both driveways and sidewalks today. Dan and his crew will be getting started sometime after 11am today.
As we adjust to a new snow contractor this year there are some tweaks we would like to make to how we are placing our snow stakes. If you have placed them or are about to, please place them only on one side of the sidewalk. Due to the size of the machine/tires of the equipment that clear the sidewalks, it can be difficult to navigate areas where there are stakes placed on both sides of the sidewalk, especially when the stakes are directly across from each other. So for marking the sidewalks placing them only on one side of the sidewalk is sufficient and preferred. If you find that some of your stakes were recently pulled and placed by your garage, this was done by the contractor to help them navigate your section of sidewalk.
If you have any questions regarding this topic please don’t hesitate to contact the board.
Sincerely, Scott Rentschler
We have received an inch or so overnight and throughout today. Dan Boswell and crew will be clearing the sidewalks either tonight or tomorrow morning.
