I spoke with our snow contractor and we both agree that there isn’t likely going to be enough snow for a driveway clear from this storm. However, we think we should do a sidewalk clear due to drifting. Assuming the weather doesn’t change much from the forecast, his crew will clear sidewalks later Monday morning since the wind is supposed to stay strong through Christmas day.

Snow Event – 11/19/22
I just measured 2 inches of snow in my driveway and sidewalk and this triggers our first snow event of the season. I will post further details as I get them.
Snow Stake Placement
I’ve been in touch with our snow contractor regarding the distance he recommends placing snow stakes from the sidewalk. He suggest 2-3 inches off the sidewalk is best. He doesn’t try to get a close as possible to a stake but uses them as a guide to find the middle of the sidewalk.
Snow Event February 24th
We’re getting some snow overnight tonight. Our snow contractor thinks 2.5 by 6 am tomorrow. Assuming at least 2 inches, his crew will be starting in the neighborhood around 6 am tomorrow morning.
Update: The snow storm was a bust, good for us. I measure .75 inches so we will not be doing sidewalks or driveways today.
Snow Event February 17th
I just spoke with our snow contractor and he’s still watching for forecast to see how much we’re really going to get with this storm. Looks like things will be accumulating starting around 3-4p today and ending about midnight. His crew will be in our neighborhood in the overnight hours after midnight. Please make sure your trash cans are brought in this evening to make things easier for his crew. Thank you.
Snow Event Feb 2nd/3rd Update
Our snow contractor says it looks like 6-10 inches total for this storm by about 5pm tomorrow. His crew will be clearing driveways and sidewalks in the neighborhood starting around 5pm this afternoon. They will be back at it again tomorrow afternoon about the same time as the snow finally tapers off.
Snow Event – February 2nd – 3rd
It appears we really will be getting a significant amount of snow Wednesday through the end of the day Thursday. This will mean our snow contractor will be going through the neighborhood multiple times. Please be patient with them as they try to get things cleaned up. On Wednesday they will be just getting things passable for us with final cleanup not done until overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. As tempting as it will be for kids to make snow forts in the piles of snow, please make sure you keep them from this as it can be very dangerous. I will post further info here as we go through this storm period.
Snow Event January 24th
I just spoke with our snow contractor, Dan Boswell, and his crew will be starting to clear sidewalks and driveways today starting around 5 to 5:30pm.
