Snow Event – January 31st

As we are currently right around the 2 inch amount, our snow contractor will be clearing driveways and sidewalks today. They will be starting sometime close to noon and will be working throughout this afternoon. It looks like we might get a bit more before tomorrow night and/or there may be some drifting, so there’s a chance the sidewalks will need to be cleared once more tomorrow night.

Snow Stake Placement

As we adjust to a new snow contractor this year there are some tweaks we would like to make to how we are placing our snow stakes. If you have placed them or are about to, please place them only on one side of the sidewalk. Due to the size of the machine/tires of the equipment that clear the sidewalks, it can be difficult to navigate areas where there are stakes placed on both sides of the sidewalk, especially when the stakes are directly across from each other. So for marking the sidewalks placing them only on one side of the sidewalk is sufficient and preferred. If you find that some of your stakes were recently pulled and placed by your garage, this was done by the contractor to help them navigate your section of sidewalk.

If you have any questions regarding this topic please don’t hesitate to contact the board.

Sincerely, Scott Rentschler

2021 assessment notice

Today we are mailing to all Northview residents the 2021 assessment notice and 2021 budget. You may download those documents here.

This year we implemented an online payment option, which you will find at https://salinenorthview.org/paydues. Note that an additional ~$8 processing fee will apply; that fee goes to PayPal, not SNCA. If you prefer to avoid that fee, please complete the info sheet you will receive in the mail and send it back to us with your check or money order. Thank you!

Snow Event Nov 30 – Dec 1

We are monitoring snow amounts for this storm and our snow contractor Boswell Lawn Service is ready to plow if needed. It’s unclear at this point how much will stick due to ground temps.

As a reminder, we will clear snow when there is 1 inch or more on the sidewalks and 2 inches or more on driveways.

Update: Dec 1st – I appears that most of the snow melted and we are left with only a thin coating on sidewalks and driveways. Be safe. Temps in the 40’s the next few days
