Assessments now past due date

Northview’s 2014 annual assessment notice, mailed in December, indicated a due date of January 31 for the $145 payment. The vast majority of our 252 co-owners have responded in time, which we appreciate.

The remaining units are now considered in delinquency. Late fees of $10 per month apply as of February 1, continuing until the total balance owed is received. Further enforcement actions as permitted by our by-laws may ensue. If you are a co-owner of a unit and have not yet paid the assessment, please do so promptly to avoid the considerable additional expense and inconvenience of enforcement actions. Feel free to contact the treasurer if you have any questions or special circumstances concerning your unit’s obligation.

The assessment notice included questions about the unit’s designated owners, occupancy, and mortgagee, if any. This information is sought pursuant to the by-laws, so please keep the administrative burdens and expenses of your association low by filling out the form completely and accurately and including it with your payment.

Snow report Feb. 1

Paved areas of Northview remain very icy today due to the nature of the weekend’s weather. Please be especially careful when driving or walking around the neighborhood. Proceed slowly and be aware of potential hazards.

Sun. Feb 2 @ 9:30 a.m.: All driveways and sidewalks were reportedly completed by 7:30 p.m. last night. The contractor will be returning this afternoon to further clear sidewalk/pedestrian areas to the required width. The snow captain this weekend is Dave Algase, so please call 316-2652 with any questions or problems.

Sat. Feb 1 @ 2:30 p.m.: Our snow removal contractor has completed a first pass on sidewalks and began clearing driveways at 2:20 p.m. Snow switched to rain at around noon, and they needed to clear sidewalks first while the wet snow was still manageable with their equipment. Crews will remain working on-site until all 252 driveways are completed today.

Snow Report Jan. 6

As of 6:00pm, 4 trucks are now in the neighborhood to do driveways.

Our contractor has missed the start time of 2:30pm, which they gave us. As of 4pm, we still have no snow removal service. We have been contacting other contractors throughout the day – no one is available to complete the work today. Will post again when I know more. Call Julie Shook if you want to talk to me, 231-343-7744.

Driveway snow removal has not begun in our neighborhood. At this time, I do not know when they will get to us. Will keep you posted.

As of 11:00am we still do not have an estimated start time for driveway snow removal. Some sidewalk removal has taken place, but the work is not finished.

Have just been informed that driveway snow removal will begin around 2:30pm.

Snow Report Jan 4

Update: Sidewalk snow removal has begun tonight.

We still have not been able to get the sidewalks cleared, as of this afternoon. As a consequence, we are arranging for a new contractor to clear the sidewalks – hopefully tomorrow, and also after the Sunday storm. Call Julie Shook, 231-343-7744, if you have questions or issues.
